Reflecting on AfriYAN Ethiopia’s journey
During the meeting, AfriYAN Ethiopia presented its journey since its official launch in August 2024, highlighting major milestones and achievements. The discussion showcased progress in expanding subnational chapters, strengthening youth networks, promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights, supporting peacebuilding initiatives, advancing digital safety awareness, and creating opportunities for young people across the country.
Advancing shared priorities
The dialogue focused on key areas that continue to shape the future of youth development in Ethiopia. Discussions explored ways to strengthen youth participation in decision making processes, expand access to SRHR information and services, enhance digital safety initiatives, support youth livelihoods, and create sustainable pathways for youth leadership and empowerment.
Both organizations shared perspectives, experiences, and recommendations aimed at strengthening collaboration and maximizing collective impact.
Building stronger partnerships
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of partnerships in advancing youth focused development goals. Through open dialogue and shared learning, participants identified opportunities for continued cooperation and innovative approaches that place young people at the center of development efforts.
